What God did through the Clapham Community at HTC 250 years ago truly changed the world.
Today we long to create something historic for God’s kingdom as we each play our part in letting our real faith in Jesus have an impact in all of life. It starts with becoming part of the Clapham Community today! Our prayer is that everyone who calls HTC their church can find a sense of home here.
There are five ways that we believe will particularly help you to become part of the Clapham Community today:
Belong.
Sunday services are a time to gather the whole church, praise God in worship, hear from His Word, pray for one another and enjoy belonging to his church. We encourage everyone to commit to turning up regularly, expectant for God to work amongst us by the power of His Spirit.
Pray.
Prayer lies at the heart of our relationship with God, so it’s at the heart of everything we do as a community. We long that everyone who is part of HTC has a healthy personal prayer life and is involved in gathering with others to pray.
Grow.
We see groups as one of the most important ways for everyone to connect with others and be planted for growth in the life of HTC. Those new to the church are encouraged to join a group at either Alpha or The Grove. Once people have finished The Grove, they get plugged into a regular Connect Group. We have around 40 of these that meet all around South London, including a few online groups.
Serve.
Being part of a team is one of the best ways to build community and impact those beyond it. We encourage everyone who is part of HTC to find a place to serve regularly in one of our teams - this can range from helping hosting Sunday services to running sports groups with Clapham Saints, from volunteering with HTC Kids to going into Brixton prison. There is something for everyone.
Give.
Everything that happens at HTC is because of your generosity and support. We could not do this without you. With everyone giving financially, it enables us to run all our Sunday services and many ministries of outreach and discipleship. It also enables us to be a radically generous community, as we look to support our mission partners and plant churches across South London.
We’d love you to consider giving to the work of our church if HTC is your home.
