Books of the Bible
Christmas Day
In an uplifting message from our Christmas Day service, Tim asks the questions is there more to life than lockdown? Is there more to life than this?
Contemporary Carols
It’s been a year of having to make adjustments, and 24 hours after the news about London entering Tier 4 for Christmas, Jamie asks how we can make the most out of Christmas.
Carols by Candlelight
In our Carols by Candlelight service Jago spoke to us about the importance of the Christmas message and how it brings Good News of Great Joy. He commented on the mess of 2020 and how these difficulties have highlighted our need for salvation through the Messiah. He challenges us to rely on Jesus and if we are uncertain of who He is to explore this for ourselves.
Carols on the Common
Our friend Pat Allerton, dubbed ’The Portable Priest’ by the media during lockdown, joined us at Carols on the Common to share a Christmas message. In a year dominated by coronavirus, which is the shape of a crown, he speaks about another King who comes as good news amidst all the difficulties of the past year.
Building Up in a Time of Tearing Down
Josh finished our Don't Lose Heart series by helping us to work through a Holy 360, looking back, in, up, across and knowing what God speaks when he looks down on us. He encouraged us that this should lead to knowing Jesus better and being more equipped to live for him in everything.
Building Up in a Time of Tearing Down
To finish off our Don't Lose Heart series H challenges us to do a Holy 360 appraisal of our lives, testing our faith so that we can be re-focused on Jesus. Finally we were reminded of the amazing grace of Jesus and his extravagant love!
Strength in Weakness
As Tim continues in our series in 2 Corinthians, we see that Paul had learnt the secret of the Christian life that we all need to know! The wonder of the Christian gospel is that God’s power is shown most clearly in our weakness and not our strength.
Giving in a Time of Taking
In a time of taking, we can be people who give because of Jesus. Giving is not only an act of charity, but an act of worship as we respond to the grace of God. In this passage from 2 Corinthians 8 and the remarkable and counter-cultural example of the Macedonian church, Jago shows us that we can excel in this grace of giving. Hear from Jago and others in our church community too on what this means for Revitalise 250.
Faithfulness in a Time of Compromise
Ros continues our series looking at 2 Corinthians 7 and encouraging us to turn to God in repentance. She speaks about the difference between Godly sorrow and worldly sorrow. Godly sorrow produces change in us, it leads to salvation, a passion for holiness and a desire to see justice done.
Reconciliation in a Time of Division
During our Don’t Lose Heart series and as part of our Remembrance Sunday service, Johnny Sutherland unpacks what it means to have Reconciliation in a Time of Division. He discusses how the ministry of reconciliation we receive enables us to be reconciled to ourselves, to one another and with God.
Treasure In Jars Of Clay
Jamie continues our series looking at 2 Corinthians 4, encouraging us to take heart as we grow in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, as we are renewed daily and as we know in our hearts the all-sufficient sacrifice of Jesus and the all-surpassing power of the Holy Spirit.
Sweet In The Stench
Jago continues our sermon series in 2 Corinthians, asking if the phrase 'Don't Lose Heart' is just a pious platitude, or a powerful encouragement to each one of us because of the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
Promises in a Time of Uncertainty
When things aren’t certain, how can we be certain of what God has promised us? As Tim continues our Don’t Lose Heart sermon series, he explores God's amazing promise that he will make us stand firm in him, and the reasons why we can trust that.
Comfort in a Time of Trouble
'Don't Lose Heart' is our theme for our new series in 2 Corinthians. We're all under pressure, both as part of COVID and the other pressures we'd be facing anyway. As we begin this series, Jamie looks at 'Comfort in a Time of Trouble' and the singular and unique opportunity we have at the moment in how we relate to God and each other.
You Are Invited To Commence
Jago Wynne speaks at Try Church Sunday on three parables Jesus told in Luke 15, with the invitation for us all to come to Jesus.
You Are Invited To Commit
Jago spoke at Vision Sunday Part 1 about how each one of us can be fruitful in the coming year – even in the midst of surprising times and complicated situations like a global pandemic. He spoke about “Closeness to Jesus” and “Contribution to the Vision” from John 15.
You Are Invited To Come To Jesus
Jago Wynne speaks at Try Church Sunday on three parables Jesus told in Luke 15, with the invitation for us all to come to Jesus.
You Are Invited To Community
Jago Wynne opens our You Are Invited sermon series, looking at Jesus' invitation to us in Matthew 11:28-29, and how when we gather together as a community of believers it is a foretaste of heaven.
Abundance
You and I were made for more than mere existence, but life to the full. Jesus is not just our creator, but the creator of abundance in our lives. In this second of Jamie’s two talks on Creative Jesus, he explains how we can position ourselves for abundance and for God’s creative power.
John 2:1-11
Creator And Re-Creator
We tend to think of Jesus in the cradle or on the cross, but before anything else, Jesus is our Creator…
